Warranty Declaration Standard Manufacturer’s Warranty
In addition to the rights in accordance with these provisions, the end customer is entitled to the statutory rights for defects, which can be asserted free of charge and are not restricted by these provisions.

Karasto Armaturenfabrik Oehler GmbH (hereinafter referred to as « GEKA“) grants the legal warranty for all new GEKA products (hereinafter referred to as « products »).
If a longer warranty period applies to individual products, this can be found on the icon printed on the product packaging for the respective product or in the online warranty conditions which can be accessed using the printed QR code at www.geka.de/garantie
Watering controls: 2-year warranty
PVC water hoses:
WS300: 15-year warranty
WS400: 20-year warranty
WS500: 25-year warranty
The warranty applies from the initial purchase from the dealer in accordance with the conditions below:
- Scope of warranty
1.1. In accordance with the conditions below, GEKA guarantees the end customer that the product is free from defects in material and workmanship for the duration of the warranty period.
1.2 Normal wear-and-tear of parts and components as well as wear parts and consumables are excluded from the warranty. This means, e.g., for water hoses: For the products in the water hose range GEKA guarantees the functioning of the respective product, i.e. the product will not burst. The warranty does not cover operational wear such as slight colour changes, wear of printing.
- Prerequisites for the warranty
2.1. The warranty is granted to the end user under the prerequisite that the damaging event occurs within the warranty period from the date of purchase by the end user.
2.2. All types of damage and improper handling, unintended use or external influence are excluded from the warranty.
2.3 The warranty covers the use for applications listed in the current GEKA catalogue.
2.4. In the case of damage, both the defective product and the original proof of purchase must be submitted to GEKA without undue delay, at the latest within 4 weeks after occurrence of the damage.
2.5. GEKA must be given the opportunity to analyse the damage. Failure to do this rules out any warranty services.
- Content of the warranty
3.1. The liability of GEKA includes the freereplacement of the respective product, to which damageoccurred that can be traced back toproduction errors in our production facilities.
3.2 If the respective product is no longer in the supply range at the time of the replacement, we shall supply a replacement from the current range at least of the same value.
3.3 Further claims in addition to the specified right to a replacement, particularly claims for damages of any type, are not covered by this warranty.
3.4. The utilisation of a warranty service during the warranty period does not extend the total duration of the warranty.
3.5. Warranty claims against the contracting party, from whom the end user purchased the respective product, remain unaffected by this warranty.
- Worldwide coverage, foreign trade law
4.1 The warranty applies worldwide.
4.2 GEKA is exempt from its warranty obligations if the fulfilment of the warranty would lead to a violation of national or international provisions of foreign trade law or embargoes and / or other sanctions.
- Submission in case of a warranty claim

- Choice of law and place of jurisdiction
6.1 The warranty is subject to the law of the Federal Republic of Germany to the exclusion of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
6.2 Such a choice may not, however, have the result of depriving you as a consumer of the protection afforded to you by provisions that cannot be derogated from by agreement by virtue of the law of the country in which you are ordinarily resident.
